 The Hague Ruling in Favor of Nicaragua: Online Lecture Presented by Augusto Zamora

 On June 27, 1986, the International Court of Justice ruled on the actions of the United States against Nicaragua. Four decades later, we analyze the significance of that historic ruling.  The speaker, Augusto Zamora, served as Nicaragua’s ambassador to Spain until 2013. He has taught at the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua and is a visiting professor at various universities in Europe and Latin America. He is a lawyer, a mediator in international conflicts, and author of numerous books and newspaper articles.

El 27 de junio de 1986, la Corte Internacional de Justicia condenó las acciones de Estados Unidos contra Nicaragua. Cuatro décadas después, analizamos la vigencia de aquella histórica sentencia.  El ponente, Augusto Zamora, fue embajador de Nicaragua en España hasta 2013. Ha impartido clases en la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua y es profesor invitado en diversas universidades de Europa y América Latina. Es abogado, mediador en conflictos internacionales y autor de numerosos libros y artículos periodísticos.
